Ubisoft Makes Mention Of Two Mystery FY 2015 Titles
During the Ubisoft Q3 earnings report it was revealed that the publisher has five games in the pipeline for FY 2014-15 including Just Dance, The Crew and Watch Dogs. But what of the other two ambiguous, unnamed titles? One of the mystery games could easily be Tom Clancy’s The Division. Information on The Division has been scarce for months. Ubisoft hinting at two large unnamed titles set for FY 2015 could easily imply The Division being one of them. In the same breath, the publisher mentions the growing console market being favorable to the titles. Possibly meaning the unknown titles will launch exclusively on current-gen hardware.
“Fiscal 2014-15 will see an exceptional games line-up, with the release of five major titles including Just Dance, The Crew and Watch Dogs, which is scheduled for release in the first fiscal quarter. Our line-up is also expected to reap the benefits of the return to growth in the console market and the increasingly significant impact of digital gaming.”
Fiscal year 2015 doesn’t begin until October 1st, 2014. so there’d be precious little time to release before the end of the year; meaning The Division may come in 2015. That lines up with a purported source within Ubisoft Massive. The other unidentified game is likely the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. Since the Assassin’s Creed series is now billed as an annual release, we can probably expect it in the October-November window.
